Lake Babine Nation Treaty Youth Forum - posted on July 11, 2014

The Lake Babine Nation youth from Tachet, Smithers, Fort Babine and Woyenne participated in a Youth Forum on June 24, 25, 26, 2014 at the Margaret Patrick Memorial Community Centre. There were 100+ Elders, youth and staff in attendance for all three of the days. We had presenters come in and share their life successes and teachings that brought them to new heights. Thank you to all of the youth and parents that took the time to come and be a part of this forum. We are very pleased with the positive outcome and the insights of our young people in regards to land use and what they would like to see in our future as Lake Babine Nation. Our youth are our future, and their perspective is very important and always more than welcome.
