Good Day!

How are you all Doing? My name is Marvin Williams, I have been hired by the Lake Babine Treaty as a Facilitator. I will be helping out in the Land use study.
I was happy to be selected for this project. I believe that I can be an asset. I have plenty of work experience in the field of reasearching and doing interviews. I
have worked as a census researcher twice, once in the late 80’s and another time in 2006. Both times I interviewed the Lake Babine Nation as well as the burns Lake Band members.

From November 2007 to March 2008, I worked for UNBC as a reasearcher, I collected information on the eating habits of the Lake babine Nation Members, mainly on how much traditional
food our people ate throughout the year. I also took hair samples for mercury.

With this job I will be out there with the rest of the research team to interview elders. Our main focus will be to find out where our ancestors lived and where they did their hunting and fishing,
their travel routes (pack trails) and find out the names of these places.

This information will be collected so that our leaders could use them for the future negotiations and to be court ready it will be good for our youth to read through and learn about our history.

I hope to see you soon.Have a nice day!
